TLC Timely Tips:
Preparing your Gradebook

Hello SOLS instructors!

You've made it through another session! As courses approach the finish line, it's important to start looking over Canvas gradebooks to ensure final grades will be ready to post on time. TLC would like to share helpful tips and to give you the support you may need to meet the final grade submission deadline on Monday, May 11th.

Be sure to review and finalize your gradebook

• Replace every dash with a score, a zero, or mark excused
• Check that any policies for dropping a low score are enabled as intended
• Enter any extra credit
• Check that grade passbacks from external tools, like CogBooks or Labster, are accurate
• Late penalties are assessed as applicable

As you review your gradebook, check the post and visibility settings.

Allow students the opportunity to review scores BEFORE you post final grades to PeopleSoft.

Give yourself a cushion of time to resolve student grade disputes before posting to PeopleSoft.
